Rosemary McCalla McClure Hirn Keaton 82, who owned and operated the Trading Post Antique Complex at 401 South Maple Street in Bainbridge for 35 years, passed away peacefully Monday evening at Jewish Hospital, Kenwood. She was born April 4, 1928 to the late Dwight and Fairy McCalla. Rosemary was a 6th generation resident of the Bainbridge area. She was Salutatorian of Bainbridge High School class of 1946 and she attended Wilmington College where she was a varsity cheerleader.



Rosemary retired in 1990 from Medical Center Hospital (Adena) as a full-time executive administrative assistant to the hospital president. She previously had been the Paxton Township Clerk of Trustees and on the Bainbridge City Council. Rosemary was a member of the Bainbridge United Methodist Church, Bainbridge Senior Citizens, Ross County Senior Citizens, Bainbridge Historical Society and a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years.



Rosemary is survived by one son, John D. McClure (MJ); 2 daughters, Julie Hirn Donahue (Richard) and Melissa Hirn-Pulliam (Marty); Son-in-law, Steve Cheadle; Grandchildren, Cindy McClure Moffitt, Susan McClure, Tommy and Wil McClure, Drew Cheadle, Callie and Sarah Frisch and Ki and Silas Pulliam; and 6 great grandchildren.



In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Charity Lee McClure Cheadle and a sister, Marcella Morris.



Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Bainbridge with Pastor Scott Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
