Russell Edward Thompson

Russell E. Thompson, 82, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Signature Nursing Home in Chillicothe. Russell was born on February 18, 1933 in Kingston, the son of the late Edward and Bessy Boggs Thompson. On June 11, 1976 he married the former Esther Hudnell, who survives.

He is survived by step daughter, Nancy (Walt) Brown, daughter-in-law, Sheila Isabell, son-in-law, Rex Erskine, three sisters, Thelma Harris, Debbie (Phill) Baney and Annie Stine, three brothers, Chuck (Katie) Newland, Jerry (Pat) Newland, and Joe Kerns; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Russell E. Thompson Jr., step-son, Tim Isabell, step-daughter, Janet Erskine, and brother, John Toll.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor John Caskey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Thompson family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 7pm.
