Ruth Hosler Brown

Ruth H. Brown, of Clarksburg, died at 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born on July 25, 1912 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mabel Betts Hosler. On April 28, 1945 she married Richard R. Brown and he preceded her in death on June 20, 2000.

Surviving are her two sons; Sam R. Brown of Washington C.H. Paul H. Brown of Clarksburg, two grandchildren; Heather M. Gibson, Brian Richard Brown, 2 great-grandchildren; Marissa and MacKenzie Gibson. She was preceded in death by a sister; Helen Godwin.

Ruth was a graduate of Clarksburg High School. She was a member of the Clarksburg United Methodist Church and also the Clarksburg Garden Club.

The family would like to thank Heartland of Chillicothe and Heartland Hospice for the care given to Ruth.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg with Pastor Martin Denes officiating. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at THE EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort.
