Ruth Blazer Dyke

Ruth Blazer Dyke, 85, of Frankfort, died at 9:25 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare of Circleville. She was born on December 13, 1931 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Forrest and Effie Bost Blazer. On September 4, 1947 she married Paul E. Dyke, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2009.

Ruth is survived by one daughter, Vicki Cupp of Frankfort, daughter-in-law, Melinda Dyke of Scottsville KY, three grandchildren, Craig (Katie) Dyke, Leah Dyke, Matthew Cupp, two sisters, Helen Skaggs of Columbus, Beverly Simkins of Frankfort, sister-in-law, Alberta Colburn of Chillicothe, three brothers, Forrest Blazer Jr. of Nipgen, Gary (Sherry) Blazer of Washington C.H., and Larry (Diana) Blazer of Sacramento CA. She was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Dyke on April 6, 2016, and by one sister, Carleen Tennant.

Ruth was a 1949 graduate of Unioto High School, and worked as an Advanced EMT for Concord Township for 17 years, where she also served as treasurer.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at 11a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort.
