Ruth Irene Hurley

Ruth Irene Johnson Hurley 79 of Bainbridge died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Adena Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born December 9, 1934 in Ross County the daughter of the late Floyd and Gertrude Shoemaker Johnson. She married Charles Walter Hurley, Sr. who died September 25, 1968.

She is survived by her children, Charlene Ruth Hurley, Charles W. Hurley Jr., Joy Verne` Phillips, Anthony Phillip Hurley, Timmy August Hurley, Andrew Burton Hurley and Nicky Martin Hurley; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a sister, Cathy Hurley; and brothers, Dale Hurley and Curtis Hurley.

Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Petty, Patricia Sullivan and Lucinda Wilson; and a brother, Charles Johnson.

Ruth loved to read and she loved writing stories and poems.

There will be calling hours for the family from 12 to 2 pm Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with burial following in the Twin Township Cemetery.
