Ruth Marie Price

Ruth Marie Price, 85, of Satsuma, FL passed away at her residence on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 following an extended illness.

She was born in Bourneville, Ohio, and had been a resident of Satsuma, FL for the past 30 years, coming from Holly-wood, Fla. She was formerly employed by The Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka as a clerk. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and she loved to travel to other countries. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Palatka and served there as a greeter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Georgia Newland; a sister Lucille Harmon; and a brother, John Newland Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Leonidas "Lee" Price, Jr. of Satsuma, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, William Allan and Jamie Price of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Robert Myers of Satsuma, FL and Linda Louise and Donald Kyees of DeLand; three brothers, Jack Newland, Dean Newland and Robert Newland, all of Frankfort, Ohio; one sister, Virginia Rinehardt of Bainbridge, Ohio; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Steve Newland officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville, Ohio. Friends may call from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
