Sandra Kay "Sandy" Bryant

Sandra "Sandy" Kay Bryant, 54, of Frankfort, died Monday evening, January 9, 2012, at Mount Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus. She was born in Ross County, on January 10, 1957, the daughter of the late Pastor Robert E. Sr. and Mary Conley Bryant.

Surviving are three sisters; Barbara (Donald) Valentine of Clarksburg, Mary Ann (Wendell) Pettiford of Chillicothe, Betty (William) Pettiford of Frankfort, one brother; Robert E. Bryant Jr. of Frankfort, 14 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews, 5 great-great nieces and nephews, two uncles; Lora (Mary) Bryant, Donald (Ila) Bryant, a host of cousins and special friends who loved her and thought of as their own Aunt Sandy. She was preceded in death by one sister; Linda Lucille Bryant and one great-great nephew; Kingston Pettiford.

Sandy loved to travel and thought the most peaceful place was out in the water with the whales.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Roxabel Second Baptist Church with Elder Larry Grant and Sandy's sister, Mary Ann Pettiford, officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 11a.m. until the time of service. In accordance with Sandy's wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service. At a later date Sandy's cremains will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean during the migration of the whales.
