Sandra May, 64, of Frankfort, died on Wednesday morning, January 19, 2011 at her home. She was born on April 25, 1946 the daughter of Lawrence and Bertha Miller. On August 3, 1968 she married Gary May, who survives.



She is survived by her mother; Bertha Miller of El Paso, TX, son; Don May of Silver Spring, MD, daughter; Susie (Todd) Helphinstine of Maineville, OH, grandchildren; Carter, Jackson, Cooper May, Isaiah, Sarah, Benjamin Helphinstine, sisters; Lorna (Richard) Schriver of Las Cruces, NM, Bonnie (Daniel) Beard of Magnolia, TX, Dianna (Timothy) Smith of Escondido, CA, Karen Miller of El Paso, TX. She was preceded in death by her father; Lawrence Miller.



Sandra received her diploma in nursing at the Sioux City Lutheran School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa. She retired after 30 years from the Department of Rehabilitations and Corrections where she served as the State Psychiatric RN Supervisor. She later spent her time volunteering at the Adena Regional Medical Center. Sandra was a member at the Calvary Lutheran Church, in Chillicothe. She was a member of the Frankfort Historical Society. She liked to travel with her husband, garden, and spend time with her grandchildren.



Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11 am in the Calvary Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Kindsvatter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at THE EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort on Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Memorial donations can be made to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation, PO BOX 5312, Akron, OH 44334.
