Sandra Sue Wayland

Sandra Sue Wayland, 80, of Frankfort, died at 12:20 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on November 13, 1936 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Howard A. and Geraldine Adams Riley. On June 18, 1955 she married James M. Wayland, who preceded her in death on December 24, 2015.

Surviving are her children, Joda (Russell) Junk of Frankfort, Fonda (Scott) Zurmehly of Clarksburg, Kevin (Ginny) Wayland of Frankfort, grandchildren, Jaime (Shawn) Bossert, Troy Junk, Zach Zurmehly, Bethany (Ryan) Givens, Jordan Wayland, Rebecca (Justin) Townsend, great-grandchildren, Caden Bossert, Paityn Townsend, sisters, Sharon Cloud of Seven Lakes N.C., Eva Riley of Frankfort, brothers Tim Riley of Clarksville, and Bill Riley of Frankfort.

Sue was a 1954 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked for 25 years as a cook at Adena Local Schools. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, March Madness fan, and loved to play BINGO.

Family and friends are asked to attend a graveside service at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. No calling hours will be held. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Concord Township Squad, PO Box 616, Frankfort OH 45628.
