Sherry Newlan

Sherry Lynn Newlan, 75, of Bourneville, Ohio, gained her wings on Wednesday March 1^st, 2023, while at home with her beloved family.

She was born June 25^th, 1947 at home on Biers Run Rd, Chillicothe, Ohio. To the late Clark and Evelyn (Pollock) Johnson. Sherry married Chester (Chet) Newlan on November 1^st, 1968.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband Chester (Chet) Newlan; her companion of 25 years Howard Stewart; son Cheston Lynn Newlan (Infant); daughter Heidi Rashell Newlan; daughter Holly Ranell Newlan (Infant); father and mother Clark and Evelyn (Pollock) Johnson.

Sherry is survived by her daughters Mandy (Ricky) McElwee, of Bainbridge; Brandy Newlan (Josh Mitchell), of Bourneville; grandchildren Cheston Newlan, Abby (Ryan) Evans, Gavin Mendenhall (Emmy Rollison), Megan Penrod (Chase Lawhorn), Charlie Penrod, Taysin McElwee, Laila Mitchell, Brandt McElwee, Nathaniel Mitchell, and Joshua Mitchell; great grandchild Everly Rose Davis; and soon to be one more great granddaughter; sisters, Loretta Benner of Chillicothe; Karen “Kay” Bobb of Bainbridge; Nancy Hatfield of South Salem; Debbie (Mike) Gire of Chillicothe; brothers Randy (Rosie) Johnson of Chillicothe and Kevin (Rene) Johnson of Frankfort.

A special thank you to ProMedica Hospice for their sincere and loving services that were provided and to Barbara “Cookie” Yoakum for all your help caring for our mother, you are greatly appreciated.

At Sherry’s request, she will be cremated.

A Celebration of life will be held on March 25^th, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Ironsides Event Center 124 ½ E. Main. Bainbridge, OH.
