Steven D. Cross, 49, of Greenfield, passed from this earth on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home near Greenfield. He was born on August 24, 1966 in Greenfield to James F. and Dorothy J. Stapleton Cross.
He is survived by his father; James F. "Frank" Cross Sr., of Greenfield, two brothers; James F. Cross Jr., of Greenfield and Scott A. Cross of Columbus and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother; Dorothy Cross, maternal grandparents; Caleb and Marie Stapleton, his paternal grandparents; James and Nellie Cross.
Steve was a lifelong resident of Greenfield and was a 1984 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School. He lived in Columbus for two years where he owned and operated The Thrifty Boutique. Currently, Steve was the owner and operator of A Future Prospective where he worked as a show promoter. He loved life and never met a stranger. Steve was an avid lover of country music.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00pm in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Greenfield. Burial will follow in Gilboa Cemetery, New Petersburg. Friends may visit with Steve's family on Thursday from 11:00am until the time of the service.
