Sue Ellen Clarke

Sue E. Clarke of Clarksburg, Ohio passed away from this life on June 4, 2015 at her residence in Clarksburg, Ohio. She was born on July 31, 1931 in Clarksburg, Ohio to the late Webb and Martha (May) Prince. She is survived by her husband, Charles, whom she married on June 17, 1951 in Greenup, Kentucky.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Lawrence) Wills of Chillicothe, Pam (Eddie) Dawson of Clarksburg, and her son Charles (Mary) Clarke of Chillicothe; grandchildren Tara (Charles) Legar of Athens, Dr. Laura Wills (Kody Myers) of Chillicothe, Scott Dawson of Clarksburg, and Ryan Clarke of Chillicothe; great-grandchildren Kate, Cole and Cory Legar, Arianna Sue Dawson, Sophia and Kallie Quinn Myers; two brothers, Floyd (Roberta) Prince of Clarksburg, and Charles (Grace) Prince of Springfield, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Terri Lynn, a grandson, David Dawson, and three brothers and four sisters.

She was a graduate of Clarksburg High School, Class of 1949. She retired from the Adena Local School System after driving a school bus for 30 and 1/2 years. She was also an Adena Hospice Volunteer for 20 years. Sue was a member of the Clarksburg High School relay track team with Becky Steinhauser Ater, Pat Fletcher Peterson, and Ruth Williams Schleich, who never lost a race during their entire high school career. The team members were inducted into the Clarksburg Hall of Fame in June of 2013.

In keeping with Sue's wishes, cremation will take place. A gathering with the family will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. The family requests thatin lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to Adena Hospice, 2077 Western Ave, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
