Thelma Irene Cook

Hillsboro - Thelma I. Cook 84, of Hillsboro died 2:10 am Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Highland District Hospital. She was born January 25, 1928 in Fayette County the daughter of the late Vernon and Emma Cox Morris. On June 26, 1948 she married David E. Cook who died October 12, 2007.

She is survived by a daughter, Emma (Forrest) Porter of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Trina (Jason) Rimmer of Florida and David F. Porter of Hillsboro; two great-grandchildren, Graham A. Rimmer and Hayden Irene Rimmer; three sisters, Ruth Burdell of Arizona, Geneva Bobb of Hillsboro and Hazel Frangiosi of Orrville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, David E. Cook Jr.; two brothers, Lloyd and Ernest Morris and a sister Jeannie Showers.

Thelma lived in Tustin California from 1955 to 1990 where she was an assistant manager of a restaurant on the Tustin Marine Air Corp Base.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, January 30, 2012 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
