Thomas E. Bristow, Sr., 68, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday morning, May 16, 2024, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born on July 21, 1955, in Chrisman, Illinois, a son of the late David and Lucille Crawford Bristow. On May 20, 2007, he married the former Sharon Hulett, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Tina (Joe) Clark of Marshall, Illinois, Tiffany Bristow of Marshall, Illinois, Ashley (Phil) Rutherford of Chillicothe, Thomas (Natasha) Bristow, Jr. of Circleville, stepchildren, Cameo (James) Stoops of Chillicothe, Christopher (Angie) Alflen of Chillicothe, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Eva Gresham, two brothers, Kenneth Bristow and Louis Bristow, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Louise and Deanie, and two brothers, William and Charles.
At the age of seventeen, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Persian Gulf War. After twenty years of service, Thomas retired as a First Sergeant. He went on to work and retire from the City of Circleville Water Department. He also served as Second Vice, First Vice, and Post Commander for the American Legion Post 62, and he was also a member of AMVETS and VFW.
A funeral service for Thomas will be held at 1pm, Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Phil Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Family and friends can visit with Thomas' family on Thursday, from 11am until the time of the service.
