Thomas Alden "Tom" Jones

Rev. Thomas A. Jones, 74, of Clarksburg passed away at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Mount Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus. He was born in Fayette County on November 9, 1937, the son of the late Alden and Theresa Smith Jones. On March 2, 1959, he married the former Helen Rosenberger who survives.

Also surviving are five children; Vickie Mollohan of Frankfort, Linda (Mike) Adkins of Lucasville, Alden Jones of Circleville, Mark Jones of Chillicothe, Lisa (Heath) Gilmore of Clarksburg, 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, two sisters; Evelyn Bott, Mildred Harris, one brother; Paul Jones all of Clarksburg. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Hunter Gilmore and brother; Willard Jones.

Thomas was a former employee of PPG, Circleville where he worked as a maintenance man for 33 years. In February 1957 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served until his honorable discharge in March 1962. Tom loved to play music at churches all over the area. The family would like to thank the Renal Care Center of Fayette County for their care for the past 8 years.

Friends may call at the Clarksburg Christian Church on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. A graveside service will be held in the Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg with Tim Robinson officiating, immediately following calling hours. Military honors will be accorded by the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 American Legion of Frankfort. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
