Thomas W. Kniceley, 66, of Chillicothe died on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:21 am at his home. He was born on October 24, 1951 in Highland County, the son of the late Harry C. and Virginia E. Schumacher. On April 21, 1980 he married the former Sue Rowe and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Nikki (Matt) Kniceley-Castle of Columbus, two grandchildren, Nadia and Sophia Castle, one brother, Robert C. Kniceley of Florida, one niece, Kate Kniceley of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Orville “Jiggs” Everhart
Thomas was a graduate of Paint Valley High School. He worked as a carpenter for over 40 years and used his experience to be a mentor to many new carpenters. He was a member of the Ohio Carpenters Union and had worked at Ingle Barr for many years. Thomas was a member of the Bainbridge Lodge 196 Free and Accepted Masons. He loved watching sports, being outdoors and in nature, and working on his property which he called “The Ranch”. He was a kind and hardworking man all his life. He loved his family dearly and looked forward to playing with his grandkids.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg, with Stan Skaggs officiating. No visitation hours will be observed.
