Thomas Alan Sprouse, 70 of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born May 30, 1954, in Niles, Ohio, a son of the late John and Rose (Bolino) Sprouse.
He is survived by his son Thomas D. Sprouse of Chillicothe, one brother, Daniel (Julie) Sprouse of Hermitage, PA, nieces and nephew Heather (Michael) Counts of Chillicothe, OH, Tina (Scott) Good of Albuquerque, NM, David B. Sprouse II of Albuquerque, NM, Lori (Chris) Moses of Albuquerque, NM, Sarah (Bobby) Byerly of Hermitage, PA, as well as many great-nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rose (Bolino) Sprouse, one son Steven A. Sprouse, his three brothers, John Sprouse, David Sprouse and Mark Sprouse and one nephew, John James “J.J.” Sprouse.
Thomas was a 1973 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. He worked for MTD/Shiloh and was a member of the UAW Local 1619 for 30 years before retiring. He was a lifetime member of Issac Walton of Medina, a lifetime member of the NRA, a former member of the Moose Lodge, a volunteer for the Medina Police Department of Special Units, a member of the Ross County Bow Hunter Club. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many things. He loved the outdoors. He had a lifetime fishing license, loved to camp, and slept under the stars. He was always going to outdoor conventions and finding new gadgets to try. He enjoyed being out on the water on a boat, on a motorcycle doing poker runs and running around town on his bright red scooter. He was always trying to perfect his cooking and grilling. Family and friends were very important to him. Tom was very much beloved by all who knew him.
In keeping with his wishes, Thomas will be cremated. His wish was to be laid to rest by his two sons in Spring Grove Cemetery, Medina, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, Thomas’s family ask that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. THE EBRIGHHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, Oh is serving Thomas’s family.
