Thurman L. Zimmerman, Jr. 71 of Chillicothe died 3:29 am Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Signature Health Care, Chillicothe. He was born February 20, 1944 in Pike County the son of the late Thurman Sr. and Anna Marie Crawford Zimmerman.
He is survived by his children, Anna M. Zimmerman and Thurman H. Zimmerman, III both of Chillicothe, Herbert T. Zimmerman of PA, Novella Lynn (David) Ball and Kyle JP Zimmerman both of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents Thurman was preceded in death by his wife, Ada M. Zimmerman and a brother, George E. Zimmerman.
Thurman was a retired truck driver who loved to visit the Crosskeys Tavern frequently as well as other local establishments. He enjoyed playing the lead guitar in several bands and riding motorcycles throughout the years. In the words of Z-man, "You will have that on the big jobs."
In respect of Thurman's wishes no calling hours or services will be held.
The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
