Timmy A. Raines, 63, of Chillicothe, died at 12:50p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.. He was born on July 20, 1949 in Greenfield, the son of the late Nelson Raines Jr. and Neva Fannon. On July 28, 1998 he married the former Patricia A. Alexander, who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Lisa Raines of Bristol PA, Kristie (Matthew) Mrozicki of Bordentown NJ, T.J. (Michaele) Raines of South Salem, step-children, Beth (William) Harmon of Chillicothe, Douglas Earl (Penny) Good of Rainsboro, step-mother Margaret Raines of Moreno Valley CA, grandchildren, Courtney, Christopher, Riehle, Addison, Zoey, Colton who is due in September, mother-in-law, Bertha Alexander of Chillicothe, sisters, Kelly Sarver of Kokomo IN, Carol Odenbaugh of Rancho Cucamonga CA, brothers Wesley and Lyle Meyers both of Kokomo IN, David Raines of Washogal WA, Richard Raines of Moreno Valley CA, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Rev. Howard and Dorothy Fannon, father-in-law, Earl Alexander, and brother Daniel Raines.

Timmy was a truck driver for several years and recently worked for Kenworth. He was a member of the Brookside Church of Christ in Christian Union. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Timmy was a member of the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 American Legion Frankfort, the Frankfort Lodge 309 Free & Accepted Masons. He loved hunting, fishing, and Nascar. His favorite driver was Mark Martin.

The family wishes to thank Adena Hospice and Chaplain Bruce for all of their care.

Funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Brookside Church of Christ in Christian Union, 2215 Egypt Pike, Chillicothe OH with Reverends David Dean and Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort where military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the church on Monday June 10, from 5 to 8 p.m.. A masonic service will begin at 7:30p.m. and is open to the public.
