Troy D. Montgomery

Troy D. Montgomery 81, of Bainbridge went to be with the Lord 1:45 pm Monday, August 02, 2010 at Mapleview Manor, Bainbridge. He was born April 14, 1929 in Magaffin County, KY the son of the late Lee and Nellie Risner Montgomery. On October 8, 1955 he married the former Belva Ann Holbert who died October 9, 2009.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara (Paul B.) Risner of Bainbridge; 5 grandchildren, Paula (Wendell) Rider of Beaver, Earnie (Tracy) Risner of Latham, Quinn Risner of Bainbridge, Heather (James) Stone of NC and Crystal (Daniel) Yoakum of Bainbridge; 12 great grandchildren, Zac Renfro, Megan Rider, Andrew P., Deanna, Audrey, Christopher, Clarissa and Michael Risner, Jenny, Jessie and Destiny Stone and Adrianna Yoakum; 2 sisters, Bonnie Mosley of GA and Margaret (Jr.) Greenhill of Mansfield; 2 brothers, Vandle (Bonnie) Montgomery and Joe (Nava) Montgomery both of Bainbrige; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a great grandson, JT; a sister, Belva Montgomery and a brother, Coy Montgomery.

Troy was a member of the Morgan Fork United Baptist Church since 1978.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Morgan Fork United Baptist Church with the Elder Arvil Murray, Jr. and Elder John Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of service at the church.
