Viola Jean Harris

Viola Jean Harris, 79, of Greenfield, died on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at her home. She was born on Tuesday, December 29, 1942, in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Elmer and Dollie Smith Howland.   

She is survived by her children; Joann Harris, Nola Filmore, Samuel Harris all of Greenfield,  Carol (Larry) Hall of Beloit, Wisconsin, Geraldine Harris of Greenfield, fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, a special friend, Ronald Edgington of Greenfield and her special puppy, Sammy. Jean was preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Lou Hawkins, one son, James Harris, two sisters, five brothers and her special dog, Angel.

Jean had worked at Weastec for several years. She will be missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield. Following the service, Jean will be laid to rest in Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
