Virgil Stuckey

Virgil Stuckey, 84, of New Holland, died at 3:05a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home. He was born on January 20, 1931 in Greenfield OH, the son of the late Virgil and Ruth Sterling Stuckey. On August 16, 1952 he married his bride of 62 years, the former Barbara Houser and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Kenny Stuckey of New Holland, Kathy (Robert) Eggleton of New Holland, Dave (and friend Kelli) Stuckey of Clarksburg, Marsha (Jim) Elrich of New Holland, Joe (Amy) Stuckey of New Holland, two grandchildren who were raised as children, Beth Ann Hall of Lousiana, Tara (Dave) Aills of Washington Court House, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Barbara (Vernon) Wood of Chillicothe, Sharon (Don) Posey of Greenfield, Chris Hartman of Chillicothe, Brenda Noel of Columbus, 1 brother, Ray Stuckey of Georgia, and special cousin Lois McClellan of New Byrn NC. He was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Wilson and one brother, David Stuckey.

Virgil worked as a maintenance supervisor for Terra Chemical, of Atlanta. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a founding member of the Buckeye Fly Wheelers Association, and a Board Member of the Miami Valley Steam Threshers Association. He was an avid collector of antique tractors and engines, loved camping and attending antique tractor shows.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort from 5 to 8p.m.. In accordance with Virgil's wishes, cremation will follow and no funeral service will be held.
