Virginia Elizabeth Penrod

Virginia Elizabeth Hixon Penrod, 78 of Bainbridge passed away 6:54 pm Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her home. She was born May 10, 1934 in Ross County the daughter of the late Orville and Alice Cottrill Hixon. On May 11, 1950 she married Dwight "Peanut" Penrod, who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Rick (Carrie) Penrod of South Salem, Karen (Steve) Zeisler of Bainbridge, Rocky Penrod of Bainbridge and David Penrod of Frankfort; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Rex and Bryan Penrod and a sister, Patty Kinzer.

Virginia was a member of the Bainbridge Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the Twin Township Cemetery with Speaker Jim Fox officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Monday at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Hospice 111 West Water Street, Chillicothe.
