Wayne L. Watson, 80, of Greenfield, died at 1:04 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Hearth & Care of Greenfield. He was born on November 21, 1933 in Ross County, the son of the late Staton and Ollie Shoemaker Watson. On February 7, 1953 he married the former Thelma Everhart, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sandra Speakman of Greenfield, Barbara J. Brownlee of Washington C.H., Regina Graham of Grove City, six grandchildren, Stephen (Carla) Speakman, Amanda (Barry) Jones, Ronald Lee Howland Jr., Kenneth A. Howland, Katie Graham, Evan Graham, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lois Whitley and Eleanor Chroninger both of Greenfield, and one brother Gordon Watson of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Steve Speakman and Dale Brownlee, and one brother, Earl Watson.
Wayne worked for Southwest Paving Co.
A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, March 24, 2014 in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Pastor Robert Chroninger officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may visit with the Watson family on Monday from 12 noon until the time of service.
