William E. "Bill" Anderson Sr

William E. Anderson 83, of Chillicothe died 2:15 am Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home. He was born October 12, 1929 in Pike County the son of the late Starlie "Jim" and Helen Cameron Anderson. On November 2, 1956 he married Charlotte Moritz, who survives.

Also surviving are his children, William E. Anderson, Jr. of Bainbridge and Ann Anderson-Bozick and her husband David of Chillicothe; brother, David (Luci) Anderson of Bainbridge; sisters-in-law, Pat Anderson, Karen (Robert) Armstrong and Frances Moritz Chidester; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles "Dink" and Donald "Jigger" Anderson.

Bill was a Graduate of Kent State, a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War and he retired from Mead Central Research after 34 years of service as a Comptroller. He was a member of the Bainbridge Lodge 196 of Free and Accepted Masons, the Scottish Rite-Valley of Columbus and Ross County Shriners.

He really loved to golf and enjoyed getting out on the course.

Bill was also a member of the Bainbridge United Methodist Church where the calling hours will be held 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2013 with the funeral service following at 1pm officiated by Pastor Matt Brookes. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
