William Ray Branscomb

William Ray Branscomb, 79 passed away at home on March 15, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born in Berea, KY on January 25, 1946, to Lilly Abner and Bill Green. He was adopted by Jessie and Emmett Branscomb. He graduated from Paint Valley High School, Class of '64.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, and sisters: Nina LaMar, Annette LaMar, Linda (BJ) Morris, brother: David LaMar. Survived by Sisters: Sharon Jones, Marilyn Green. Brothers: Kenny Green, Ronnie Green, Billy (Amber) Green, and Todd (Cindy) Moberly.

On August 19, 1967, he married Paula Knisley, who survives. Together they had 3 children: Jeannette (Roger) Crabtree, Billy Bob (Sherry) Branscomb and Matt (Chrissy) Branscomb. Grandchildren: Samantha (Brett) Kneeskern, Kate (Landry) Faulconer, Josie Crabtree, Colton Branscomb, Kendra Branscomb, Sawyer (Bryahna) Branscomb, Jake (Jordyn) Branscomb, Garrett (Lani) Branscomb. Great-Grandchildren: Brady Kneeskern, Callen Kneeskern, Luke Faulconer, Lane Faulconer, Addy Branscomb, Lyla Branscomb, Buck Branscomb, and Patsy Branscomb and a dear friend, Tim Weaver.

Bill was a life-long farmer who loved raising cattle. He was on the Pike County Fair Board, Sale Committee, and 4-H Advisor for twenty years. He was Perry Township Trustee President for 15 years. Bill loved his family, and they all dearly loved him. He will really be missed.

According to his wishes, he will be cremated. There will be no service. The family will get together to scatter his ashes on the farm at a later date.
