William "Feller" Hughes 46, formerly of Latham, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was born July 6, 1969 in Pike County, Ohio to Harold Hughes and the late Evelyn Forbes Hughes. On July 3, 2014 he was united in marriage to the former Nancy Holt, who survives.
In addition to his father and loving wife, Feller is survived by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Holt and 2 step sons, Justin (Bethany) Holt and Joseph Beehem. He will also be lovingly remembered by 3 brothers, Harold "Pete" Hughes, Jr. (Betty) of Freeport, Bahamas, Charles "Ched" and Thomas (Sharon) Hughes of Englewood, Florida; 4 sisters, Candy (Ed) Fite of Latham, Ohio, Drema Lytle of Naples, Florida, Johnnie (John) Irvin of Piketon, Ohio and Deborah Hughes of Orlando, Florida. Feller's passing also leaves a void in the hearts of several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his mother, Feller was preceded in death by an infant sister, Pamela Hughes, his father-in-law, John Holt and brother-in-law, Victor Lytle.
Feller had always worked in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. He was an animal lover and shared his home with several rescued pets including his beloved canine companion, Digger. Feller enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his smile that could brighten anyone's day, his kind, helpful personality and his heart of gold.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Gardner Cemetery, Waverly. Friends may visit with Feller's family from 12-2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers family request memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
