Willie Carl Hudson

Willie Carl Hudson, 93, of Chillicothe, died at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Ohio Veterans Home at Georgetown. He was born on July 29, 1918 in Good Hope, the son of the late Floyd S. and Lula Jane Davis Hudson. On May 9, 1940 he married the former Elizabeth "Sis" Higby who preceded him in death on October 15, 1999.

Surviving are one sister; Nancy (Herman) Howell of Lucasville, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters; Dorothy Thatcher, Virginia Tootle, Ruth Morris, Ruby Mankin, Betty Meddock, three brothers; Henry Hudson, Clyde Hudson, and Harry Hudson.

Carl was a member of the United States Army Air Corp, having served in World War II. He retired July 1, 1972, having worked as an aircraft mechanic for the Department of the Air Force. Carl was a member of the Scioto Lodge #6 Free and Accepted Masons, and a Lifetime Member of AMVETS Post #4, Chillicothe.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Rev. Harry Hudson Jr., and Scott Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
