Yolanda Vega Wright

 Yolanda Vega Wright, 76, of Beeville, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, at 3810 Apollo Drive, Anchorage, Alaska. Born on February 25, 1948, in Beeville, Texas, Yolanda lived a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose. She graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 1966 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1983 from Corpus Christi State University.

Known for her faith, love of languages, sense of humor, and dedication to her family, Yolanda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to all who knew her.

Yolanda was a passionate follower of Christ and a "prayer warrior" who prayed for her family every day and gave selflessly to many charities. She was a career educator, dedicating much of her life to helping troubled and abused children in Alaska. She also enjoyed gardening and bringing joy to those around her.

Yolanda Vega Wright is survived by her husband, Harley David Wright; her children, Annette Rae Skala, Scott David Wright, and Matthew Alexander Wright; her grandchildren, Zachary Shane Skala, Nicole Marie Skala, Anthony Joseph Skala, Kirsten Cherie Williams, Hayden Daniel Wright, Caitlyn Marie Wright, and Maxwell Theodore Wright; her great-grandchild, Levi Anthony Skala; her mother, Manuela Tamez; and her siblings, Diego Vega, Jr., Rosalinda Posada, Margarita Commiato, and Raymond Vega. She was preceded in death by her father, Diego Vega, Sr., and her brother, Liovardo Vega.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street, Bainbridge, Ohio 45612. With the burial to follow in the Pennisten Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.

Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her
